Merauke is extremely well known for a type of soil agarwood from Aquilaria Fillaria that is crumbly and requires very high temperatures to release its oudy notes. Different from Soil Ambon materials where there is a bitter note to the earthy tones, in Merauke agarwood, you get an earthy, herbal, very lightly animalic but inherently a very sweet and bold body. This is made from some of the finest selected weathered materials from Merauke, which does not have the pungency of raw fresh harvests, giving it a very concentrated and focussed scent profile.
