Kōfukoji Main Hall Reconstruction Commemorative Incense 10g

There are herbal traces in this stick but as usual in the very japanese style, the herbal notes do not come forth as the brash burnt grassy notes of using too much of the raw herbs. Instead the herbs and spices are amalgamated and held together by a central resin note, in this case a gentle mix of resins. When burnt, the incense smoke is rounded, plummy and lightly spiced, it has the vibes of ume-shisho, a combination of sour plum with purple perilla leaf, and the scent just makes one feel entirely at ease and relaxed. The scent feels like travelling to a old japanese house with its full wooden interior with a large window that shows the traditional garden outside.
