This fraction is the woodiest smelling fraction of Mysore Sandalwood, dense, heavy, rigid, woody, masculine, driven by the ultra high alpha-santalol content, naturally crosslinked into a resinous form as the tree grows and ages into its high decades to almost a century. Similarly, it is very deep smelling, and has a bold body, a strong fixative function and blends well with many other ingredients, giving contrast and intensity.
