2026 Duoniye 多尼叶

Duoniye is a niche variety with a highly unique aroma and flavor profile, originating from Anjiao. Also known as Tao Jin Niang (Rose Myrtle), it is a wild fruit resembling a blueberry. The dry tea leaves exude a sweet fragrance subtly intertwined with notes of flowers and fruits. The aroma is rich and fragrant; it opens with an elegant floral note before transitioning into a sweet, fruity honey. This scent lingers in rich, distinct clusters, weaving layer upon layer to gently wrap around every breath. The tea liquor is crystal clear, sweet, and smooth, carrying an unpretentious mountain-wild character. Its floral and fruity notes dissolve deeply into the liquid, making each sip feel as though you are stepping straight into the height of midsummer.

2024 Yun 韵

"Yun" derives its name from the distinct, lingering charm of ancient Shui Xian tea trees. Crafted from tea trees over a century old in Gezaiwei, Wudong, this selection highlights the thick, layered texture and profound, enduring aftertaste that defines aged Shui Xian—hence the name " 韵 -Yun."

Upon initial sipping, Yun (2) delivers a liquor that is wonderfully mellow and full-bodied, yet possesses a remarkably clean, crystal-clear texture. A grounded, woody old-tree character (枞韵 Cong Yun) anchors the profile; upon closer inspection, a subtle, moss-like hint of wild mountain air emerges, as if you are stepping into a deep, secluded forest where every breath is filled with the fresh scent of native flora and lush greenery. The flavor is sweet, smooth, and incredibly long-lasting, giving rise to a natural sweetness and a slow, beautiful return-sweetness (Hui Gan). Once finished, a crisp, cool mountain presence gently diffuses across the throat and palate, like morning mist swirling through an empty valley—leaving a deep, meditative serenity in its wake.

2024 Nan Jiang 南姜

Nan Jiang Xiang is an exceptionally niche aroma profile in the world of Dancong. Its fragrance is sharp and high-toned, carrying a distinctive, crisp pungency that feels as though the true essence of fresh galangal has been captured directly within the tea liquid—creating a highly unique and singular profile. The overall experience is anchored by a warm, woody base note, through which the fragrant galangal aroma rises, intertwined with delicate, silk-like threads of floral fragrance. The palate offers an immense fullness with an enduring, deep character (韵). A subtle, warm hint of spice plays on the tongue, culminating in a long, beautifully haunting aftertaste that remains suspended across the palate, refusing to fade.

2024 Honey in the Clouds 云中蜜

Harvested and crafted in the spring of 2024, Honey in the Clouds originates from the old trees (老枞蜜兰Lao Cong Mi Lan) fields of Liziping on Wudong Mountain. Subjected to a thorough, slow-roasting process (足火), its flavors have now matured beautifully, making it exceptionally rewarding for immediate drinking or long-term keeping. The tea liquid is honey-sweet and full-bodied, offering a mouthfeel that is both rich and remarkably crisp. Over time, it will steadily transform, developing an even deeper, more concentrated fruity-honey sweetness (蜜韵). It is for this very reason that I personally reserve and seal away at least two cases every year, quietly waiting for it to unveil an even more captivating character through the passage of time.

2024 Elegant Orchid 兰馥

Lan Fu is a 2024 old-tree (Lao Cong Zhi Lan Xiang) from Hucun. It highlights its varietal characteristics with a profile that is wonderfully clean, translucent, and full-bodied. True to its name, the aroma is rich and intensely fragrant, revealing a crystalline clarity packed with notes of crisp fruit, delicate cosmetic powder (powdery), and the rich, satisfying density of toasted nuts. While delivering a beautifully pure, refreshing sweetness, it stands apart from other Iris Orchid teas by being remarkably more translucent and clear, all while showcasing a deeply captivating and enchanting powdery-floral fragrance.

2025 Yahou Baxian 垭后八仙

The aroma is complex and elegant, accompanied by a palate that is remarkably full-bodied yet refined. From the moment the dry leaves gently unfurl, a natural sweetness and floral fragrance quietly fill the room, carrying a subtle hint of native mountain air. As boiling water is introduced, the tea's aromatics awaken beautifully. A sharp, pristine orchid fragrance—as concentrated as pure essential oil—pierces through the rising steam. This is followed by a crisp, refreshing fruitiness and a gentle, comforting creaminess that unfurl in stages, weaving together into a slender, profoundly deep aromatic profile. The tea liquor is an amber-orange, brilliantly clear and bright.

On the palate, it feels as clean and pure as mountain spring water; the complex aroma is sophisticated rather than overbearing, lingering continuously, while the flavour presents distinct, well-defined layers without being overly aggressive. A hidden breath of elegant orchid is tucked deep within the liquid, giving rise to a return-sweetness (回甘) that resembles a quiet, enduring stream beneath the moonlight. This Yahou Baxian offers an exceptional price-to-quality ratio, fully showcasing the classic, definitive character of the Eight Immortals variety. Once the Mid-Autumn Festival passes and the residual roast-heat (火气) naturally subsides, its clarity, fragrance, and depth of flavour will become even more pronounced and full-bodied.

2024 Daping Leikouchai 大坪雷扣柴

This spring’s Daping Leikouchai boasts an exceptional aromatic profile. Warming the cup and inhaling the dry heat reveals an exquisite interlacing of floral-fruity notes and a rich, caramelized sweetness. Once brewed, a concentrated ripe-fruit fragrance fills the air, accented by a sharp, delicate orchid note, while a subtle whisper of elegant powder (脂粉香) glides through the tail notes, demonstrating excellent aromatic persistence.

The profile is beautifully layered; beyond the vibrant floral fragrance and deep fruit character (果韵), it features a warm, comforting woody sweetness. Every single steep brings a sense of pure joy, with an aroma that far surpasses previous years. The tea liquor is wonderfully translucent, sweet, and smooth, offering a full-bodied mouthfeel. The aromatics are perfectly integrated into the liquid, leaving a long, continuous, and haunting fruity aftertaste. By the eighth infusion, the underlying woody character surfaces—deep, grounding, and powerful—enveloped in a faint trace of ripe fruit while the enduring sweet fragrance remains. It delivers a high level of sensory pleasure to the palate, showing a very slight, refined astringency that quickly gives way to a wave of returning sweetness and mouth-watering salivation (回甘生津). The overall character evokes the spirit of an autumn or winter forest, softly wrapping around you to bring deep quietude, yet infused with a subtle, living rhythm.

2025 Oriental Red 东方红

The very instant boiling water is introduced, the aromatics awaken and immediately flood the space, releasing a fragrance so rich, lush, and exquisitely elegant it feels almost enchanting. Oriental Red is anchored by a foundational aromatic base of Gardenia blooms, through which a sweet, succulent melody of ripe honey-peach runs continuously from start to finish. This core is accented by delicate threads of refined floral notes and a warm, honey-like sweetness that unfurls layer by layer—deeply captivating without ever being superficial.

The true mastery of this tea lies in the flawless integration of its liquor and aroma. As the smooth, thick, and honey-sweet liquid glides over the tongue, the floral and fruity notes seem to pierce straight through the tastebuds to the very core of your being. A full-bodied, ripe-fruit sweetness, a graceful underlying floral character, and a deeply rich texture weave together on the palate to reveal brilliant, well-defined layers. It evolves beautifully across the session: from the clean, lively sweetness of the initial steep, to the wonderfully mellow and robust body of the third and fifth infusions, all the way to the final steeps which remain flawlessly sweet and clean. The returning sweetness and mouth-watering salivation (回甘生津) are incredibly long-lasting and powerful; long after drinking, the throat remains sweet and smooth, while the floral notes and honeyed character refuse to leave the palate.
